I have a base that includes screenshots in an attachment field. It would save me significant time to be able to ctrl-V onto the attachment cell while the image is on my clipboard, without opening an additional attachments dialogue.
As of now I have to click the ‘+’ button, click to remove focus from main window, then ctrl-V, click upload, then wait for upload. A streamlined solution would save 3 clicks and perform uploading in the background. If the attachments are large waiting to upload prevents me from working on the table for significant time.

Our org is trying to stick with Airtable but is struggling with the need for better ways to share parts of our data with the public. The beta of embedding/sharing blocks is a step in the right direction, but it is currently unusable for us because there is no way to limit the public from accessing the entire base from the embedded block view. To make this feature viable in our case (and I think in the case of many other users), access would need to be limited to the view upon which the block is based. For example, an embedded map would reveal only data from a filtered view of the base with confidential fields hidden. Thanks for sharing the beta and hope this feedback is helpful.

Can you please provide an alert that will warn me (notification or email or both) if there is an excessive run of Automations. Recently I had an error in my formula. Unfortunately that error caused an Automation to run constantly and it was running for hours, I don’t know how long but after a day or so I ran out of the 50,000 automations. That was completely unnecessary and I would have stopped by fixing the formula (or pausing automation and then fixing formula). Anyhow, I would say there should be a warning if I am reaching 50%, 75% and 90% of allocated automations. I am not asking Airtable to kick me off the grid and disable those Automations completely, but rather warn me about the situation. That would save resources on Airtable servers and prevent me running dry and then have to wait till the months is over to get replenished again. I know Airtable provides higher plan upgrade but I think in this case this is all just wasted electricity 😉

I would like the ability to have a barcode scanner embedded in the mobile app, which would allow for automated data entry (for my use case, computer and electronic equipment serial numbers) This would be useful for other applications as well, including shopping lists, inventory, and coupon management.
In addition to the above request, the ability to generate QR codes from record data would add simplicity to data entry. Thanks!

I hesitate to make suggestions here, because of how even the most popular and basic requests have yet to be implemented, but I will anyway.
I would like to be able to execute an HTTP request against values in other fields. This is possible in Excel and would be just as valuable here.
The most basic implementation would use the GET method where I would define the URL and querystring separately.
GET Endpoint: https://my.rest.endpoint.com/api/doTheThing
Querystring: myVal1={{Field Name}}&myVal2={{Field Name2}}
Yes, this would be an advanced feature that would generate support requests. Perhaps it could be hidden behind an Advanced Features toggle in a workspace’s or base’s settings.

I couldn’t figure out a way to write two or more URLs in a field so that they are automatically displayed such as in Twitter, linking the page title and important page content.
It would be very interesting to have a multiple URL field where them could be stored and identified.

I’d like to be able to create the following column:
Product(s)/Quantity (Key/Value Multi-Select) Oranges: 4 Apples: 2
Oranges:3 Bananas: 1
Why Alternatives are Insufficient Multiple Columns Separating the product from the quantity means that data is disassociated unless each option has it’s own columns (Oranges, Oranges Quantity). So solutions are verbose and the bases grow unnecessarily wide.
Advanced Linking Another approach would be to separate each product as its own line item (or table row), or even split them out to separate tables. All of this is too much to ask from a client using a form view or a non-Airtable savvy user.

It would be nice if we had a global filter that we can apply to all the views. You could have the option of having a filter per view as it is, but another feature of a global filter that affects all views. My use case is an editorial calendar with multiple sites. I still need the individual views to have different filters, but it would be nice to have a global filter to only show one website I am working on, while going to each view. This would be an easy, yet very useful feature. One that probably a lot of people wouldn’t realize how useful it is until they tried it.

It would be great if Airtable could hold off applying filters until I have exited the record or row I am editing. Right now if I need to edit a column of values that trigger a filter, I have to edit the values one at a time, slowly, because every time I set the value the record disappears from under me before I can do any other editing on the record or drag/fill other records.
