Howdy,

We recently turned on AI for our AirTable Workspace and I am impressed so far! It makes one-off questions easier to answer.

For instance, the AI clearly answered my questions with an interactive display of the records. Very cool!

The example above is a question that is more than a one-off question. This is something that I both want to run repeatedly AND use the found records to perform a scripted action. I am not yet familiar with AirTable scripting and hoped that perhaps AirTable AI could give me a head start. Unfortunately, I could not figure out how to properly ask AirTable AI to describe how my question could be turned into a the start of a script.

My question for the AirTable community is: If I have a question that I want to be able to run repeatedly (and/or take additional steps for a scripting extension or automation), can I use AirTable AI to help give me a head start for that script?

Claude or ChatGPT will be your best friend. Just make sure to mention that you are writing a script for Airtable and the location of the script (airtable automation script action, button script, extension, ect.)

I agree. I use ChatGPT for all my scripting. It does a great job with Airtable. Omni is growing and is powerful, but is not there yet for me. The other day, it gave me an error and wiped an entire table of data out. I had no snapshot or backup. On the positive side, when you remake it a second time, it flies and you refine the first draft :)

I have not used Omni and after reading that, I don’t think I ever will. My business would be toast.
