Hello everyone! I’m Patti, a Product Designer at Airtable and I’m excited to share Mobile Interfaces are now available to use on your iPhone!

Whether you're commuting, away from your desk, or simply prefer using your phone, you can now effortlessly view and manage interfaces from the convenience of the Airtable app. All you have to do is download the latest version of the Airtable iOS app.

Below are some key functionalities you’ll see on mobile:

Easily navigate to your interfaces directly from the Airtable app home screen or from links in emails and notifications.

Cut through the noise and view full-screen pages of List, Gallery, Calendar, or Kanban layouts. Not only that, you’ll also be able to search and filter records using the tab or dropdown filter elements.

Make edits to field data, view and add comments, and take most button actions on a record.

Add new records through a form.

As you use the new mobile experience, please share your thoughts with us—we value your feedback as we continue to improve and develop more features and layouts. We’re looking forward to hearing what you think! Again, just make sure you have the most updated version of the app

Last but not least, we did not forget about all our amazing Android users! Stay tuned for an update in the near future.

Ah, my bad! I didn't realize that the mobile app does not display interfaces with GRID VIEW. When I switch to LIST VIEW it works. Unfortunately 90% of my interfaces are using grid views.

Hm, just trying the mobile app on my iPad Pro 12,9“ … interfaces seem not accessible at all. Have I overlooked something?

This is Awesome !

It really doesn't seem to be working well though certainly not as obviously as this post and teh release video suggest. seems only certain types of interfaces work but there's no info on what those are.

I have one calendar interface that works and another that doesnt even though they are the same type of interface build.

some Don't display anything at all and it seems to ignore interfaces that have been built to bring lists from several tables into the same "sheet" it just shows these pages as empty and just skips all those tables. I don't understand why this wouldn't be supported when an obvious need for interfaces and build out is to put several lists in

A few say This Page is not supported on mobile go to desktop view  without any real explanation o why . one I mostly text block another is a timeline interface that is a feature you all are saying is suiuported.

so there seems to be a lot of info missing on what is actually mobile.

Super stoked to see this, it means we're on the right track!

However, we need more support for tablets.  I have a fleet of iPads deployed with interfaces the "old fashioned way" (browser shortcuts on the iOS home screen) which works well enough.. but there are some major issues and I would really like to see full-fledged support for iPads in the future.  Particularly for complex interfaces that are otherwise designed to fit that resolution / aspect ratio!

Great development, but hoping for a rapid release-cycle with improvements.
Mainly, iPad/Tablet support and the custom drag-n-drop interface designer supporting mobile screens.

After some troubleshooting, am following up on the required fields bug in case it's helpful to anyone else: seems like required fields only work on mobile form interfaces when a conditional field is also present.  Current workaround is to add an extra field and set it to show only when an unlikely value is present in another field.

The user will never see the extra field and required field functionality appears to work afterward for the rest of the form.

@Patti_Loit's worth noting that opening an Interface List View via the iOS browser - it functions exactly how I'd expect the Airtable Mobile App to work. I'm not sure why there's a difference between the two, but the App is the lesser experience compared to the browser.

The Mobile App is absolutely needed, so hoping to have this and the other issues addressed. The problem we have with an Interface via the mobile browser is that **bleep** side bar - it's impossible to completely collapse to remove it making it a real pain that takes up all the space, especially a concern when dealing with vertical limited screen space of a mobile experience.

I have no access to Interfaces on my iPhone. I have iOS17 installed. Could this be the problem ?

This is great. Now, if you will just do this for tablets - especially the iPad!

Linking records or creating new linked records does not work for me. The action of the button to go to another page of the interface does not work either. Will it be added in the future?

Im seeing all these positive comments 🙂 I have just created an interface to test this feature.  I cant find any of my interfaces, old or new on my Iphone.  there is no update to the app available so i assume i have the latest version, and there is no update to my Iphone available so i assume i am using the latest version of that as well.  what am i doing wrong?

Any update for Android users?

We are moving our clients to interfaces only with field users only working on iPads.
Is there any timeline for deploying interfaces to iPad OS?

This is awesome Patti! Very excited for this feature.

Having an issue though, no matter which interface style I choose I can't edit field data on mobile. I have the "edit records inline" setting turned on, and can edit them on my computer. But not on the app for some reason, despite what the announcement says. Is there another setting I could be missing?

@Greidam

They have removed a few features since the app interfaces launched. I think it was mostly for bugfixes, but I haven't seen any updates pushed to fix what was removed.

Do you have a timeline for interfaces on iPad?

Do we have any concrete plans to release the same thing on Android? Currently almost 4 months post iOS launch and not a peep since the whole, "no worries, didn't forget about you!".

Kinda seems like that statement isn't holding too true at the moment.

Sometimes, certain parts become hidden or cannot be opened. Is it possible that when there are a lot of items displayed on the interface, they may not show up? Additionally, I've noticed that the display doesn't work when using the record picker. Is it because the record picker is not available on mobile?

Are there any differences in the interface between smartphones and tablets? It seems to display correctly on tablets, but on smartphones, it can hardly be displayed.

It looks like the Calendar block is broken for me on mobile. I can't see anything. Is there a known bug?

Can anyone offer any tips or pointers for how to get the interface to work in mobile view?

It wasn't working for me but I thought this was because my interfaces were too complex for mobile, or used some element that wasn't compatible, but I created a simple record interface for mobile and even that isn't working.

I really need to be able to view at least a simplified interface on mobile, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am using an iPhone and on the latest version of the Airtable app.

Thanks in advance!

It seems that Airtable has released or is going to release an update for Android. I asked someone to try it, but he said that with his app it doesn't work fully yet. What is your experience?
