Admin can't subscribe to automation notifications

I was recently added as an ADMIN and owner of an existing workspace and base. There are some existing automations created by other people.

When I tried to add myself as a subscriber to notifications, I get an error message saying, “Subscriber must have creator permission level in the application.”

Well, as admin and base/workspace owner, I think I’ve got all that.

The only subscriber to one of these notifications is someone who has left the organization and no longer has an account. I can’t remove them unless I can at least add one other user. So it’s a catch-22.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a bug. I would report it to support@airtable.com.

@ScottWorld I agree and have reported it.

@TrystinRowland My understanding of automations is that the owner, if there really is one, is the last person who enabled it. I did try that as a workaround and was unsuccessful. Automations are not an object that can be managed in the Admin Panel.
