Gmail email tracking via Airtabl's gmail automation

Hi!
I am using automations that result in sending an email via the Gmail integration.
I am looking for a way to track the emails that I am sending through airtable’s gmail api (email opens).
gmail has several ways to utilize email trackers (Chrome extensions, built in methods, etc), but I can’t seem to find a way to make them fire when sending the emails via the airtable automation (tried using “mailtrack” add-on).
any ideas on how to make them work?
or other ways to track emails when sent via airtable’s gmail api?
