Hi

First time here ! I have a problem with the Google form automation. I use the trigger "When response arrive" to get the answer from a Google form. The automation was working well, retrieving the answers from the google sheet and adding them to my database. But for a few weeks now, the retrieval no longer works (it doesn't trigger at all). I've checked that the trigger and action tests are ok.

I also noticed that when I modified the width of a line in google sheet, the automatization was triggered and brought back all the records that hadn't been taken.

I've tried duplicating the automation and reconfiguring the trigger, but it doesn't change anything....

Original Answer:

It might be a bug with Airtable’s Google Forms automations. I would try setting this up with Make’s Google Forms automations, and see if you have better success with that.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you could instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.

2025 Update:

Nowadays, your #1 best bet for this is to switch away from Google Forms, and instead use Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable because it communicates directly with Airtable and can easily do everything that you want — no extra automations needed.

Fillout is 100% free, and it offers hundreds of features that Airtable’s native forms don’t offer, including the ability to update Airtable records using a formcreate custom PDF files from a form submissionaccept payments on formspre-fetch dynamic data from an Airtable recordcustomize the style and branding of your formcustomize a theme for your form, display Airtable lookup fields on forms, create new linked records on a formadd a login page to your form, perform math or other live calculations on your forms, collect signatures on a form, create multi-page forms with conditional paths, connect a single form to dozens of external apps simultaneously, add CAPTCHAs to your form, and much more.

I show how to use a few of the advanced features of Fillout on these 2 Airtable podcast episodes:

There is a small learning curve with Make, which is why I created this basic navigation video to help. I also provide the links to a few other Make training resources there as well.

Thanks for your answer Scott ! I managed to replace my automation with a Make scenario (I already use Make for a lot of use case).
