Interface Edit Permissioning

According to this page, only an owner or editor should be able to update records via an interface’s “Editable” elements. But when I preview an interface as a user with only commenter or read-only access, it seems to still permit field editing by that user. Is this just a bug/limitation of the “preview” design, such that when actually published the interface will not permit editing? Or is the intended edit limitation not actually working?

This is a bug with Interfaces. I would send an email to support@airtable.com to report this bug. I’ve been meaning to write them about this bug myself, but perhaps you can do it on my behalf! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I did report this and they said it was a previewer limitation. Supposedly when published the permissions will be as intended. But I haven’t tested with someone to confirm.
