Hi all,
I want to create a Table 1 with a list of tags and use it to create a matchmaking system that works across other tables. So whenever I add a tag to Table 1 it would automatically appear as a tag option in different multiselect columns in other tables. Is it possible? How can I use the same tag system across several columns?
Hi,
Instead of using a multi-select field for tags, you can create a central “Tags” table and link it to your other tables. That way, you can manage all your tags in one place and use them across your base without having to duplicate anything.

Thanks Julien, can you give me more details on how to make this links? I gave this instruction to the AI agent but it did not work.

Anyhow…what you originally described is basically what Julien was suggesting. All you need to do is in your Table 1 (with the tags) add “linked record” fields to the other tables that you want to use the tags with. Adding those will create a reciprocal field in the other tables linking back to your tags table. Then just associate your tags.
