I have an automation set up with an Outlook email action that runs into errors after sending 25 emails successfully. When I run it at least 24 hours later, it will send another 25 emails. However I keep having to push the rest of the records that need emails sent to the following day. What is the term for this specific limit I’m running into with Outlook’s integration? Is there a way around it or to disable it?

Hmm, looks like it’s an Outlook thing that tries to prevent spam: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/e-mail-limited-to-25-outgoing-messages-per-day/744c7665-a642-4c3b-9525-4434ac06954b

If your account’s new / flagged for being spammy then it’ll get restricted it seems

First time I read about this. You would not have this issue if you decide to go with Gmail, Slack, or even the Airtable native email action block!

Are these internal or external emails?

Additionally, there are lots of 3rd-party email services that have almost no limits on sending emails.

For example, my clients really enjoy using MailGun. MailGun is easy to setup & use, and they have great customer support.

MailGun can be automated by using Make’s MailGun integrations. (If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you could instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.)

And there are at least 2 Airtable extensions that can be used for sending mail: the MailerSend extension and the SendGrid extension.

I am NOT a fan of SendGrid because I find it extremely difficult to setup & maintain, and they have terrible customer support.

But MailerSend is great, and they have finally fixed the bugs with their extension, so it now works great.

However, the downside with extensions is that they can’t be automated in any way. But they do provide a quick & convenient way of manually sending bulk emails from Airtable.
