Slack notifications when comments are added

Hey! We are in a need of a feature that when the team is collaborating on a card/row and they comment @ one another. We want those to fire into slack too. They are too often missed on email. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to do that.

What you might want to do would be to create your own commenting or tagging system, where you add a field to your base that is the “User” type, and then you can tag people by choosing their name from the dropdown menu.

Then, you can use Make’s Slack automations in conjunction with Make’s Airtable automations to automatically notify your users within Slack.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread.

For example, here is one of the ways that you can instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable, which you would want to implement in your base.
