I am trying to create an automation so that everytime a new record is created in the "link to another table" column, the SUM tag is automatically printed. This is because I am trying to do a cumulative sum but am unsure as to how to get it to automatically update and display the sum when a new record is created.

Airtable will automatically recalculate the "cumulative sum" for a field (present at the bottom of your screen for the field in question) whenever a new record is added/deleted.
Are you looking to display this "cumulative sum" is some other place?

In the link to another data source part the tag is SUM like it is below:

The automatically printed part is I need it so that when a new field is created it the record with this tag so that it will link to the other database and I don't have to manually enter it.

Yes, I would like to link it to my softr application but was unsure how so thought it must have to be printed in another field for it to be accessed for softr?
