Updating URL for button when base is duplicated

Hey all,

 

I am building a base for live event production and I have run into a road block. In the interface I have a button to upload csv files for client info and needs. The button just goes to the URL for the extension in full screen. Because of the computer literacy of some of my co workers I need to make things as simple as possible. When duplicating the base for a new event, is there an automation or script that can update the new URL. I have a table called URLs that feeds the button.

Hi there,

Have you considered using only one Base for all events? I have managed Bases for clients that did live production and they too created a new base for every event, but the processes are the same and it does make sense to keep within one same base.

You can enable CSV uploads in an interface (try the list interface):

This won’t require to update the URL each time you duplicate the base, and the upload parameters can be set in the “Enable fields” button.
