Hi everyone and Airtable Support team,

I am writing to request a one-time reset or waiver of our automation quota for the current billing cycle.

What happened: I was performing a bulk field update in our base (which contains approximately 18,000 records). I converted a Single Select field to a Link to another record field. I did not realize that this conversion would trigger an existing automation for every single record in the base simultaneously.

The result: Our entire monthly quota of 25k automation runs was exhausted in a matter of minutes.

The impact: Our entire content and editorial workflow is currently paralyzed. We rely on these automations for assignment notifications, status updates, and external freelancer communications. Without a reset, our team is unable to move work forward for the remainder of the month.

Support history: We have opened a support ticket (Ticket # 01198382) but haven't received a response yet (and we don’t expect a response, as my coworker opened a separate urgent ticket 9 days ago and hasn’t heard back yet).

We understand this was a configuration oversight on our part during a field mapping exercise, but the impact on our business operations is severe. We would be incredibly grateful for a one-time quota reset so we can resume our operations and refine our automation triggers to prevent this from happening again.

Would also be more than happy to simply purchase more automation runs to tide us over for the remainder of the billing cycle, but that’s not an option. Happy to provide any more details that can help resolve this issue quickly.

Thank you so much for your help!

Some really desperate options might be:

  1. Upgrade plan
  2. Purchase another workspace and move the base there

Sorry I can’t help and I hope someone gets back to you really soon!
