I have a date field that I am wanting to use to send a slack notification when it is updated and/or changed, however while doing planning I am amending that date field multiple times to settle on the final agreed date - is there a way in which that slack notification can only be triggered once the date is settled and planning has been completed?

+11The simplest way is to have a “Date Finalized” Checkbox, and use a Conditional Action in the automation to only send the Slack notification if this is checked.
Or if you have a different way of determining if the planning is completed, you can use a Lookup/formula/combination to have a Planning Completed field, and use the Conditional Action with that.

+5You could create a single-select Status field to define your workflow stages. Once you finalise your planning, you can update its status accordingly (e.g to planning done), which will then trigger the automation.
