Best practices for large database and searching across it

I’m building a solution for a client that may have around 80 K records… was thinking of breaking it up into multiple bases given that there’s a 50K record limit.
However, they need to be able to search across the bases at the same time.
I was thinking I could achieve this through a custom app that would allow them to do this search and return results from multiple bases.
Has anyone tried this? Any suggestions on how best to do this?

Ruchika

Maybe off topic, and it’s price x2, but the Enterprise plan goes to 100k I believe.

You can definitly search in multiple bases with a search API
