It sounds like you might be using the single select field type which allows you to have a dropdown interface to select from a list of different options. If you’d like to change your existing field type to one that would better suit the information you are trying to capture I recommend looking at our support article on customizing field types. You can also choose to “Delete Field” from the field menu if that field isn’t helping at the moment. I hope that helps!
