For the love of all that is holy, WHY!?

In this most recent UI update, Airtable seems to have randomly increased the margin width on the Interface side pages, messing up many of my pages and making it much harder to fit three elements per line in many circumstances.

Example 1:
The lines in each section of this page used to fit the width exactly.

Example 2:
The Action Menu dropdown was to the right of the Status field. Now it is pushed to another line.

It is no longer possible to have a section division, and fit three total elements abreast.

I hope to god this is a bug and not an intentional choice...

Hey @ThorsonRBAT,

How were those lines created? You seem to have a TamperMonkey (or similar) script running on your side. If that is it, you can probably handle it easily by making small changes to the script.

If you believe this might be a bigger issue (e.g. Airtable bug) you will probably want to submit this to support@airtable.com as well as fill out this Feature Request form to provide feedback

Hi Mike,

There is no temper monkey script running. It is simply this character “–“ repeated in the description line. I don’t use any third party extensions to modify airtable in any way.

As far as I can tell, this is an actual change made by airtable to increase the margin width of the side panel page. All of my users and other client bases are experiencing the same thing across multiple browsers and devices.

The key issue here is that this breaks the ability to have three fields abreast when using dividers within a section: https://imgur.com/a/qDKSOC8.

I will fill out the form as well.

Thanks!

Yes! You’ll want to fill out the form, and also send over the video.
In any case, unless I am missing smth, that does not seem to be an issue on my side.
