HI @Judy12,

What you’re missing is one of the more confusing aspects of Airtable.

While you are in edit mode, there are actually TWO different areas of your interface page to click on.

In your video, you are clicking on the OUTER BOX that highlights the entire page in a blue square.

But there is also an INNER BOX that you can click on by going into edit mode, and then clicking somewhere within your list.

That will give you a completely different set of tools to choose from in the right margin, which is where you can select the default sort.

Hope this helps!

If you have a budget and you’d like to hire the best Airtable consultant to help you with this or anything else that is Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld

Hey @Judy12,

When under “edit” mode, you’ll want to pre-set the sorting under the data section as shown on the screenshot below.

Feel free to reach out if you have any other question/challenge! I’d be happy to help out.

Thank you @ScottWorld !  Yes I didn’t realize that there was that second edit box.  Thank you!
