I have a table for tasks and a table for completed tasks. Once a task is completed I want to move it to the completed tasks table but I cant seem to do this without duplicating the whole table again! Please help

This doesnt seem like the best way to do it. Depending on your table setup, I would recommend to have it as a View instead of another table.
