How can I default to opening bases from the icons as it used to be instead of it opening interfaces always when clicking on an app? Very inconvenient for many of my users.

Unfortunately, Airtable has forced this atrocity on all of us, even though every Airtable customer absolutely hates it.
They call this the “new home screen” and they have begun rolling out this monstrosity to all customers, against everybody’s will.
It speaks volumes as to how out-of-touch Airtable is with their customer base, and it also shows what many of us have known for years — that Airtable employees do not use their own product.
For those of you who haven’t seen this disgusting abomination yet, you can get to it by going to your old Home Screen and pulling down from the help menu to select the new Home Screen.
The only 3 things you can do about this are:
- Complain about the new Home Screen through this form: https://airtable.com/appK3W1p85LUC403p/pagK6YzqjoT0Vhpkr/form
- In addition to that form above, send a complaint email to support@airtable.com. The only way to truly have your voice heard is to complain to them through BOTH the form AND the email address.
- For a very limited time, you MIGHT be able to temporarily rollback to the old Home Screen by going to your new Home Screen and clicking on the help button and choose the option to go back to the old Home Screen.
p.s. Do not forget to BOTH email them AND fill out the form. Airtable rarely listens to customer feedback, so you have to take both approaches to try to get the message across.
