Dear community,

I am currently using several Teams licenses within my organization, and we are considering transitioning to Business licenses to take advantage of the additional features they offer.

One of my main concerns is related to workspace management. I understand that Business licenses allow the use of multiple workspaces. If I decide to migrate certain bases from our current workspace (under Teams licenses) to a new one under Business, will I lose the existing connections those bases have with other parts of our system?

Additionally, I would appreciate clarification on the following points:

  • Will the URLs of the interfaces linked to those bases change after migration?
  • Will the URLs of the forms also change?
  • Will the BaseID remain the same even if the base is moved to a different workspace?

These are critical questions for us, as any disruption could affect the functionality of our system and potentially require us to redo a significant amount of work.

If anyone has experience with this type of migration or can share additional insights that might help us make an informed decision, I would be very grateful.

Thank you very much in advance for your support and guidance.

Best regards,
Jaime Ramiro

Hey @Jramiro,

You can always have one or multiple workspaces. The “plan” (free, teams, business) occurs at a workspace level.
So what you will be upgrading will be a very specific workspace.

Having said that, as long as you move the exact same base from workspace to workspace (rather than actually duplicating the base and using a copy of it on a different workspace), then URLs and IDs will be the same.

Hey @Mike_AutomaticN

Thank you very much. I would like to confirm whether this means that, for example, if I have a table containing all the names and emails of my corporation within a single Base, and that table is linked to many other bases in order to retrieve that information, moving that “Parent” Base to a different workspace would not cause me to lose those connections.

I am still unclear on this matter: will the URLs, IDs, and recordIDs of the records in that Base remain the same after such a move?

Best regards

@Mike_AutomaticN

Actually, after a user upgrades to business, they get an unlimited number of workspaces which are all at the business level.
