Dear Airtable Community,

I would like to know how to transfer a base in my personal Airtable account to a base in another account i.e. a start up’s account.

They haven't yet set up the company account in Airtable but will do once we know how this can be achieved smoothly.

Also to be considered are that the base in my personal Airtable Account,  has automations native to Airtable, connection to Fillout and automations in Make that are triggered by a Webhook via a script in my Airtable automations.

Is there a way to move this ‘lock stock and barrel’, out of my account and into that of the start up?

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best Regards

Ladi

Hey @Project_NP_LS,

Yes, you can absolutely do that! You will want to check out Airtable’s official documentation for doing so.

You should have no issue (did it myself only a few days ago). Hope this helps!

Hello @Mike_AutomaticN ,

thank you for your reassuring response. I have clicked on the link and will follow the instructions. Just for clarity, when I transfer the base in question to a complete new Airtable account, will this also transfer the following;

  • automations native to Airtable,
  • connection to Fillout and
  • automations in Make that are triggered by a Webhook via a script in my Airtable automations.

Or will I need to do some rewiring?
Best Regards

Hey @Project_NP_LS,

What I did was transfer full workspace ownership. In that case at least (should work the same way for base transfer) everything still works. Basically, app id, table ids, etc etc etc where still the same as the base itself did not change! That was exactly the same concern I had at the moment.

If you really want to test it out you could create a random base, or duplicate your current base, make one simple fillout connection or one make connection,  transfer this new base, and see that happens. Nothing should be lost in my experience. If that works you would do the same with your actual base.

Else you might want to reach out and ask the question to support@airtable.com.

Let us know how that went once you did so!

Yes, you can definitely do that! I recommend checking out Airtable’s official documentation on transferring ownership.

You shouldn’t run into any issues. Hope this helps!

Yeap get them to invite you to their Workspace and just transfer the Base into their Workspace

Automations will transfer over fine, Fillout form works fine after transfer, and your Make automations that are getting triggered via webhooks will be fine too
