I am a manufacturer, and use Airtable in several areas of my business. I have a pro account. I am looking for a way to automate documented employee safety reminders between safety meetings. Initially I planned to have a form with the reminder listed in the form description section. I was informed that some of our employees have learning disabilities, and will require assistance reading the information. Is there a way to have video play after the description of the form? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Airtable’s native forms are rather limited. It is not possible to embed videos in the form. You can embed a form in a web page that also contains the a video.

You can’t really do this without using an external forms service, e.g jotform.

However if you’re not fussed about it being embedded you could prefill the form, by passing the video to it as a link. That way the person can click out to the video?

Looks like there is an app that helps you quickly prefil forms: Prefilled Forms - Apps - Airtable Marketplace

The only way to do this with Airtable’s forms is to host your video somewhere else (like YouTube), and then put the link to the video in the help text of your form.

But if you need your videos to be embedded within the form itself, your #1 best bet for this is to use Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable because it allows you to add videos anywhere you’d like in your form.

Fillout also lets you embed any other content that you’d like — videos, PDF files, images, audio files, documents, etc.

Fillout will even let you pre-fetch an Airtable record to embed on your form, so you can dynamically control your form’s content from Airtable.

Fillout is 100% free, and it offers hundreds of features that Airtable’s native forms don’t offer, including the ability to update existing Airtable records using a formcreate custom PDF files from a form submissionaccept payments on forms, display Airtable lookup fields on forms, create new linked records on a form, control access to a form via SSO or email domains or a list of email addresses stored in Airtable, perform math or other live calculations on your forms, collect signatures on a form, create multi-page forms with conditional paths, connect a single form to dozens of external apps simultaneously, add CAPTCHAs to your form, and much more.

I show how to use a few of the advanced features of Fillout on these 2 Airtable podcast episodes:

Hope this helps!

Airtable's native forms can be limited, but a third-party form builder makes it easy to add rich content.

Plumsail Forms is an excellent option for this. It includes an HTML field that allows you to embed a video or other content—such as a PDF preview, map, or social media posts—directly into any section of your form.

Plumsail Forms also offers a free plan with no limits on the number of forms or features, so you can test its full capabilities today.

A common workaround is linking to a hosted video (YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive) in the form text, or sharing reminders through an automation that includes the video link directly in email/Slack
