What’s possible in Airtable has exploded in the last few months with Claude + Airtable MCP. What’s something really cool you’ve built? My favorite builds serve my free-time interests such as a map of places I’ve traveled to with my kids. I’m curious to know what others have been up to.

Riffing on the Claude + Airtable MCP point, here's a build that leans on exactly that.

I'm working on asset-pipeline-ASK, a definition layer for AI image production: it separates all the stuff that usually gets crammed into one "creative direction" field (the intent, the constraints, the references, the selection, the governance) into a typed, inheritable structure, so what "on-brand" means becomes a recorded input instead of vibes in someone's head.

The part that fits this thread: none of my prototype bases were built by hand in Airtable. The definition layer is the input, and an agent instantiates the base from it (GPT over the connector early on, Claude Code now). So the base is an output of the spec, not the thing I hand-maintain.

And Airtable turns out to be a strong operating surface for it — it can hold the inheritance stack, run the resolution, and build the final generation request itself. The layer above it just keeps the semantics (what inherits, what overrides, whose call wins in a conflict) explicit and portable, so the meaning doesn't end up buried in one base's formulas and scripts.

Happy to show the base to anyone curious — including where it fits and where the edges are.

Hey @ASKproduKtion that sounds really cool, especially the fact that you’re leveraging Airtable as an output and Claude as the input (if I have that correctly). I’m really interested in checking it out!

That sounds like a really neat application of Claude + Airtable MCP I have not yet seen (or considered).

A travel map with your kids is such a cool idea! I’d love to build a personal hobby tracker in Airtable with Claude, linking places visited, photos, dates, and favorite memories so everything is easy to explore in one place.
