Welcome to the Bay Area Builder Crew!

Whether you're building your first Airtable app, experimenting with Airtable AI, automating workflows, or running mission-critical processes on Airtable, this is your home for connecting with fellow builders across the SF Bay Area.

This group is for makers, operators, founders, consultants, admins, and Airtable enthusiasts who love solving problems, sharing ideas, and learning from one another. Our goal is to bring together the local Airtable community through discussions, workshops, buildathons, networking events, and hands-on learning opportunities.

Use this space to:

  • Connect with other Airtable builders in the Bay Area
  • Share what you're building and get feedback
  • Ask questions and exchange tips, tricks, and best practices
  • Discover local events and opportunities to learn from the community
  • Find inspiration for new ways to use Airtable and AI

By joining this group, you'll be subscribed so you don't miss upcoming events, resources, and discussions. 🎉

How are you using Airtable? wide range of internal ops tooling for clients

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable? My favorite has been a choose-your-own adventure I did for the 2026 community-led hackathon. Built using Claude + Airtable MCP, Omni to troubleshoot custom interface issues, and AI fields to translate game prompts into Mexican Spanish. The custom interface plays music, has responsive UI, anyone can play it in either English or Spanish.

What would you like to see from this group?  more community events in South Bay. I have kids and SF events are all but impossible for me to make. Generally just looking to meet other Airtable folks, and talk Airtable over some coffee/tea.

@GCheung am I allowed in here?? 😛

Name: Rachel Torres

Company/Role: Product Marketing at Airtable

Location: East Bay

How are you using Airtable?:  I’m always asking Omni or Claude to find stuff for me in other department’s apps.

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable? I used Claude to build a rental inventory tracking Airtable app for my friend’s music store. Do you know there’s SO many sizes of cellos??

What would you like to see from this group? Afternoon or breakfast meetups on a Thursday in East Bay or SF.

How are you using Airtable: It's the worked proof surface for asset-pipeline-ASK (AP) — though AP itself sits above any substrate. AP is a definition layer for AI image production, and the bases aren't built by hand: the spec is the input and an agent instantiates the base from it (Claude Code these days). Airtable runs the resolution and builds the final generation request — AP keeps the semantics portable.

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable: Getting an agent to stand up a whole governed base (tables, fields, relationships) from a spec, instead of clicking it together record by record. Watching Claude Code build the structure from the definition still feels a little unreasonable.

What would you like to see from this group: More builds shown at the seams — the off-label, half-finished, "here's the hard part I'm stuck on" stuff, which EV01 nailed. Also happy to help make it happen. I’ve volunteered to be one of the SF crew captains, so point me at whatever's useful.

SF Bay Area builder here // I just published the working AP-ASK Airtable demo in Show and Tell.

It is a self-contained commercial image-production workflow >>
brief >> shots >> generate candidate images >> review >> accept

The images are generated directly inside Airtable, with the prompt, source inputs, governing standard + acceptance decision preserved around each result.

Full walkthrough + public demo >>

Would welcome feedback from local builders, especially anyone working in creative operations, media, production systems or Airtable AI.
