Hello,

I work for a print company and want to send Airtable data through API to make what's called a JDF ticket which Esko’s Automation Engine can then use.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Our main label database software does this, but I want to replace it with Airtable because it is heaps better.

Thanks!

You should be able to do this quite easily using Make. You can set up a trigger such as “when a record is created” or any condition you prefer, and then use the HTTP module to call the API that creates the JDF ticket.

If you need help setting it up, feel free to reach out to me.

Hm I’m not familiar with a JDF and so did a bit of googling, it looks like it’s an XML file?  If so you could probably put something together with a bunch of formulas and that would get you a field with the formatted XML

If you want to send that XML to an endpoint via an API that’s fairly straightforward

If you want to create an actual file that you can download that’s a bit trickier, I think you may be able to do it with some scripting and the upload attachment endpoint though
