Will the api credentials change when we transfer ownership of the base?

Hi support,

We're changing the ownership of a workspace to a new owner. Will this affect our automations and API integrations?

If the previous owner will still be part of the workspace with the same permissions for everything that should be fine I think?  If not, you'll need to replace all the existing integration connects, PATs etc with a new user's ones before this move

It depends on whose account was used to set up the integrations. The owner of the workspace is not necessarily the account used in the integration.

Hi,

When transferring ownership of a workspace, the API credentials are tied to the user account, not the workspace itself. If your integrations or automations are using API keys generated by the current owner’s account, they will stop working once ownership is transferred and the original owner’s credentials are no longer valid.

For a seamless transition, generate a new API key from the new owner's account and update all integrations to use this new key. Then review automations and shared scripts to confirm they’re using credentials tied to the new owner or a service account if applicable. Also, if you’re using third-party services, make sure they’re also updated with the new API key.

Most likely.

Automations within Airtable base likely won't be impacted. But API connections will cease to work IF you used your OAuth or PAT and you no longer have at least editor access to the base through that PAT.
