Hi All, I'm late to this post but I just joined the community from the onboarding webinar hosted today and I'm poking around a bit! I'm particularly curious if anyone has used Airtable for similar processes, but I have not yet come across it.

Name: Madisen

Company/Role: R&D Program Lead

Location: Sacramento, CA

What my team is doing with Airtable: We are using it as phenotyping software to evaluate commercial crop varieties, hosting a varieties catalog and germplasm inventory, and keeping a trialing calendar.

What we hope to do with Airtable: Right now we export our phenotypic data with python to custom software that we do not have a UI for. However this process can be cumbersome. I like to look at data before it's been exported so i use AirTables features that are more like a spreadsheet: rollups and formulas. I would like to see these functions expanded into more statistical analysis. I also would like to display extensions in interfaces. There are certain extensions that offer better data visualization than what is available in interfaces.

Favorite Airtable Feature: Comments, revision history tracking, and interfaces built for specific permissions.

What we hope to do with Airtable: Leverage Interfaces more to improve the end user experience & increase efficiencies & leverage API with our publishing partners for streamlined content delivery

Favorite Airtable Feature: Interfaces

Hello!

Name: Jack

Company/Role: madeWORKSHOP / Systems Manager

Location: London, UK

What my team is doing with Airtable: Everything. It's basis for all of our work and operations.

What we hope to do with Airtable: Continue focusing down to an essential experience for my users, uncluttered with stuff they don't need to touch.

Favorite Airtable Feature: I have a soft spot for the scripting extension as it's the reason I learned to write code.

Name: Jason Stewart

Company/Role: CVS Health / Design Systems & Enablement Leader

Location: Charlevoix, Michigan (USA - Remote)

What my team is doing with Airtable: Sooooo many wonderful things. Some of my favorites include a script-enhanced capacity tracking feature backlog, and an super-synced design asset inventory that solves a problem our org didn't even know it had.

What we hope to do with Airtable: establish it as the go-to tool for building consensus around scope and scale

Favorite Airtable Feature: Automations + Scripts!

Name: Lauren Hazay

Company/Role: Endeavour Group / Property Support

Location: Sydney, Australia

What my team is doing with Airtable: We are a large national retailer and hotel business with a network of about 2000 stores/venues. Using Airtable to track our pipeline of changes to the network (new locations, closures, etc) and the business approvals for them.

What we hope to do with Airtable: We are replacing a Quickbase we will no longer have access to for business reasons and that whole system just feels tired, clunky, and outdated. So mainly I am keen to INNOVATE! Improve our processes in ways the team didn't even realise were a possibility.

Favorite Airtable Feature: Automations - getting rid of those repetitive and tedious tasks

Name: Julien Berta

Company/Role: SmartPixels / CEO

Location: Paris (not in Texas).

What my team is doing with Airtable: Just about everything: HR, CRM, purchase requisitions, tasking, project management. On the 'production' side we manage 3D content creation and rendering from AirTable.

What we hope to do with Airtable: Automation and client communications.

Favorite Airtable Feature: Extensions, we build a lot ourselves (so much for NoCode), and we use DataFetcher extensively.

Name: Keeri Tramm

Company/Role: Director of Research & Rankings

Location: Minneapolis, MN (work remote)

What my team is doing with Airtable: start to finish automation of our process for collecting first party data, validating, ranking, and publishing it. We also created profiles for all of our awardees! Everything we publish comes from custom built WordPress plugins/cron jobs that feed directly from AirTable.

What we hope to do with Airtable: Continue to increase automation so our team members can do less manual work!

Favorite Airtable Feature: scripts & automations

Name: Dillon Ohrt

Company/Role: Suncor Energy (U.S.A.) Pipeline Company - Right-of-Way Coordinator

Location: The Great State of Wyoming (yes, it exists, that or I'm a figment of my own imagination... or someone else's?)

What my team is doing with Airtable:  Our largest use is with 3rd party engagement on pipeline crossings and encroachments.  That data is formulated into a project review process and is moved through a number of gate reviews before the approval or return of a proposed crossing.

What we hope to do with Airtable:  The most exciting upcoming change is the ability to receive a lat/long locations via a form and, through scripting, have it properly attributed to the exact pipeline joint, thus giving us access to a much wider data set for automation (think property parcels (including landowner data), Township/Range/Section, operations supervisor notices) and more detailed level of tracking

Favorite Airtable Feature: Without a doubt it's the automations and interfaces.  Those two pieces have significantly improved our ability to quickly move through any process with minimal time spent reviewing data.

What we hope to do with Airtable: Break through the 250k enterprise record limit as it's gonna hurt us this year if we can't 😉

Favorite Airtable Feature: Simplicity
