The formulas are calculating in real time, while I’m typing values in another field. Is there a way to set it to stop behaving like that and calculate only after I type Return?

I’m afraid not. You cannot control if/when formulas recalculate.

This makes the calculation so slow and unproductive, because as I’m typing it shows unreasonable numbers. The only way to know it finished calculating is by knowing an approximate result and waiting for it. I hope this changes over time.

You can always create another view which doesn’t show your formula fields, and do your data entry from that view. Then, you can come back to your current view whenever you want to see the formulas.
