Something as simple as retrieving data from previous record and then mathematically operating this field (even within boundaries of cell) seems to take hours. If finding information or operating this platform is so difficult then whats the value.

+9Even though Airtable looks like a spreadsheet, in reality its a database. In a database, each row is separate. You can only work with data in the same row.
That means if you want to use the previous row, you will need to do a few extra steps. I have written a detailed article on how to do it, feel free to check it out.
