Hello, I’m trying to set up a field that combines client names on the record using Concatenate. There will always be a primary client, but there may or may not be a secondary client. The goal is for the field, is there is a secondary client, to show:

B1 Last Name, B1 First Name & B2 Last Name, B2 First Name

Right now if there is a secondary client, it is returning “B1 Last Name, B1 First Name &” but leaves off the names of the secondary. I’m sure I need to bracket off something after the IF condition, but I can’t figure it out.

Thank you!

CONCATENATE(

  {B1 Last Name},

  ", ",

  {B1 First Name},

  IF(NOT({B2 First Name}=""),

  " & ",

  {B2 Last Name},

  ", ",

  {B2 First Name}))

A friend was able to help me resolve it with the changes below!

CONCATENATE(

  {B1 Last Name},

  ", ",

  {B1 First Name},

  IF(NOT({B2 First Name}=""),

    CONCATENATE(" & ", {B2 Last Name}, ", ", {B2 First Name}),

    ""

  )

Could also do this too!

{B1 Last Name} & ',' & {B1 First Name} &
IF(
{B2 Last Name},
' & ' & {B2 Last Name} & ',' & {B2 First Name}
)
