Can we please get a native way to output valid Markdown (that renders as rich text) from a Formula field? This simple improvement would cut down on so many hacks.

For feature requests I would suggest you fill out this specific Feature Request / Product Idea form as it is the only way Airtable’s team is currently going through this kind of requests.
I guess that one of the “hacks” you are making referece to (for any future reader) is to have the markdown within the formula, and then get the output of the formula and stamp it via automation on a long text field type!
