Do I need to use the portals add-on if I just want clients to see their interface as read-only (but with password access)?

Hey @NeuroAccess!

Unfortunately Airtable will not allow for password protected, read only public interface.
Having said that, you could share password protected read only views -see image below.

I hope this is somehow helpful!

@NeuroAccess

No, you don't need to use portals.

You can just use normal interfaces, as long as your clients sign up for an Airtable account. Read-only access to your interfaces is free.

@Mike_AutomaticN

If they have Airtable accounts, he can share the interfaces as read-only for them, and even show them their own records too.

No, you don’t need the portals add-on. You can use Airtable’s shared view feature to share a read-only version with clients. Just add a password for extra security.

If you need a more customized and secure client portal, I can help set it up for you. Let me know!
