Hide/Show field or button based on logged in user 2026

Looking for the ability to hide or show a button, or field based on the logged in user, against a user field for the record. This is not different than how a filter shows/hides records based on the logged in user.

Not having this capability means I need to duplicate the interface I am working on for each user persona, which is not good design.

AFAIK there is not a native workaround – AT product team could you please give an update on this function?

Thanks,

Hiding interface buttons based on the user is already built into Airtable.

Hiding fields based on the user is also already built into Airtable — but only on “record detail” pages, not “list” pages.

You may want to submit the “list pages” idea as a feature request on the product feedback form.
