Hello all,

I have a new construction Community, which has not yet been mapped by Google Maps; but, I have a homesites map/ rendering of the Community. I want to be able to click on any particular homesite, and have specific data on that homesite become available.

I already have a decent interface which holds the key info I want to be able to access quickly.

So, this would be a complimentary capability, perhaps like a front end to the interface, which would be the Community homesites map. Click on a homesite, and it opens up the record details page (of the Interface).

I reviewed the various map extensions, but have been unable to figure out how to make any of them function like this...

You’re talking about having a clickable image map that takes you to different places based on where you click on the image map.

That would be very cool, but unfortunately, that is not possible within Airtable.

However, if you have a website, you could ask your web designer to create a web page that has a clickable image map on it, and then each clickable area could take the user to a certain record in Airtable or a certain interface page in Airtable.

You might also be able to get this feature with Softr, which is an Airtable portal that lets you create your own web pages.

Hey @Joe_Kennedy1! As @ScottWorld mentioned that is not currently possible. 

A workaround would be to have pins (private) created on Google Maps, where you further store the url which would re-direct you to your specific page & record of the interface. 

If this needs to be shown elsewhere (e.g. a public site) you could always embed the map. 

The nice thing about this, is that you would be using everyday tools you are already familiar with (eg. Google Maps).
