Hey all,

Within forms in the interface designer, is there anyway to display any additional data on a Linked Field?

For example, here I’d like to show the customers name (which is a field in the linked field table), not just customer code.

Thanks!

That is now possible with Airtable’s interface forms, but it doesn’t always display the full contents of the fields that you are trying to display.

The better way of doing this would be to use Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable, because it NEVER cuts off the information that you’re trying to display.

Fillout is 100% free, and it offers hundreds of features that Airtable’s native forms don’t offer, including the ability to update Airtable records using a form, display Airtable lookup fields on forms, control access to a form via SSO or email domains, perform math or other live calculations on your forms, accept payments on forms, collect signatures on a form, create multi-page forms with conditional paths, create new linked records on a form, connect a single form to dozens of external apps simultaneously, add CAPTCHAs to your form, and much more.

I show how to use a few of the advanced features of Fillout on these 2 Airtable podcast episodes:

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire the best Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld

No, unfortunately that is not possible with Interface forms (nor Airtable’s native forms).

You can do that outside of Airtable with the external forms offered by MiniExtensions.com and On2Air: Forms. (You can also do it with the On2Air: Amplify extension, although that’s not technically a form.)

There may also be other external ways of doing it which I am not currently aware of.

Thanks Scott! Luckily I dictate that lookup field, so might just include the client name in that
