Is it possible to create a custom view type based on an existing view type but modified?
I would like to add columns with labels to the calendar single day view. Is this possible?

No, that is not possible in Airtable, but you might want to check out Noloco, which is a paid external app for Airtable. It allows you to create interfaces & portals for Airtable bases, and it offers custom views like what you are talking about.
