Restrict @mentions / comment notifications to Admins in Airtable Interfaces?

Hi everyone!
In Airtable Interfaces, is there a way to restrict comment notifications / @mentions so that only Admins can be mentioned (or only Admins receive the notifications)?
We want interface users to be able to leave notes, but ensure that @mentions/notifications go only to our Admin team.
Any best practices or recommended workaround (permissions vs automations) would be appreciated. Thanks!

Mhmmm I don’t think we can achieve this with a default setting (I might be wrong) but I do know that your team (non management) could potentially unsubscribe from AT’s emails. This is tricky though, cause there might be emails you actually want them to receive. Right?

Otherwise, they can “unsubscribe” (not on the email, but in AT) from the very specific record they are getting notifications from. However this would be manual.

Maybe @ScottWorld has a better response?

Yeah, as @Mike_AutomaticN mentioned above, this isn’t possible with Airtable’s commenting feature, so you may want to submit it as a feature request here.

An alternative idea would be to create your own commenting and tagging system by creating another table of comments that you can link to the main record, and using User fields to tag people that should receive notifications.

Whilst you are at it, you might include “Would be nice to allow for non base access users to receive notifications for comments as well” lol. Interface only users will not receive this notifications otherweise, which is a big issue as a pig aspect of interfaces is limit what data can be accessed by whom.
