Retroactively restrict access to underlying database?

I gave people read-only access to an interface before the rollout of the feature allowing me to restrict access to the underlying database. Can I restrict that access retroactively?

Welcome to the Airtable community!

You can un-share them from the base, and then re-share with interface only access.

Thank you for your help! If I un-share, and then re-share, is there a way for me to automatically re-grant access to the people who already had it? Or, do they need to re-request access?

It is not automatic, but you can re-share to their email addresses without them having to request access.
