I have a list interface where the button to search disappeared after making unrelated changes to the interface. The search option still appears on all my other list interfaces and I can't find anything in the designer to either add or remove the ability to search the list. Any suggestions?

At the interface page level (not the visualization level), you should be able to adjust whether users can search items with a toggle option. See below.
