Hey all,

Looking for an Airtable and Zapier automation expert to discuss feasibility and implement the following for a manufacturing environment building large electrical and controls skids. We have a few disparate excel sheets built out and goals in mind, but feel the need to move to a database system to truly get what we’re after:

  • Tracking the reception of Purchase Orders and generating automatic emails and automatic table updates as material quantities are changed by the client and our team (if feasible, from changes in a sharepoint Excel or some such)

  • Track the deadline start and end dates on a project based on manloading, bottlenecks created by delivery of materials from (4) different vendors. Implement a calendar buildout to view gaps in the schedule. We have approximately (10) bays where skids are fabricated with a variable amount of employees dependent on size of skid.

  • Track average delay times created by bottlenecks from suppliers

  • Create PDF-able “client views” to show clients updated ship dates and status of existing projects (% complete, estimated ship date, serial no., tracking no.)

  • Accounting for manufacturing costs, labor costs, markup/OH and the variance from the estimate of these items to the actual quantities being realized

  • Automate the updating of hours spent on individual jobs based on a report generated by our WBS program

  • Other cool, time-saving stuff you can suggest

If you’re interested, please post here and I’ll reach out to set up a time to meet and discuss scope and pricing.

Hey Eric!

I’m looking for a similar solution for my company as well.

I’d love to hear about what you have implemented.

Thank you

Dmitro

Hey @Patrick_Conlon and @Dmitro_Khroma,

We’ve built a number of Airtable installations for clients and customised integrations which feed off the data in the tables. I’ve written about one of them here --> https://community.airtable.com/t/using-airtable-for-custom-reporting-and-access-control/23725

and I’m about to write another article about a hazardous chemical database that is basically a register for hazchem products and sends auto notifications when the chemical safety sheet is outdated and requires renewal which is an important legal requirement in their industry. This integration checks the base daily for any items reaching it’s used by date and emails notifications right up to the final day, it’s on Google Cloud Platform and uses sendGrid to email the stakeholders.

Happy to jump on a call and discuss anytime, book a meeting with me here --> shooshmonkey.com/bookme or email me directly here --> kris@shooshmonkey.com

Cheers!

Kris
