When creating a form you are given the options to have a “Submit another response” button, show a new blank form after 5 seconds, or receive an email that the form has been completed. It would be extremely helpful to have an option for a completed copy of the form to be emailed to the person who has filled out the form. Like the option that googleforms and survey monkey provide, the person filing out the form can submit the form and then have a copy of their answers emailed to them for their records. This would be helpful in our organizations as people are filing out applications and answering essay questions. It is helpful for them to have evidence/copies of what they submitted.

I get automated help when I try to leave a message for support. Clicking on ‘Contact support’ brings up a window for me to ‘Ask a question’ and the answers are automated. There’s no way for me to actually report a bug. I’ll post the problem I’m having in a separate topic so as not to confuse the issue.

I’d like to be able to choose a custom starting number for the auto-incrementing number field - I have existing records that already have a unique ID # associated with them, but they don’t start at 1. Thanks!

I uploaded a link to a Google Drive document to my Base. Now I’d like to get back to it from my base. But when I click on the document link that Airtable creates in the Base, it downloads as an MS Word file. I’d like to click on that link and go to Google Docs. Since I’m already logged into Airtable with Google, this would be a convenient round trip.

Would there be anyway you’d consider adding hierarchical single select columns that show different options depending on what is selected in a prior column? For example in one column imagine that you have a list of car manufacturers labelled ‘Make’ Some options in here could be: Audi BMW Ford Volkswagen Then you could have a second single select column called ‘Model’. It would be great if this only showed options related to the first column. So for example if Audi is selected in the first column the options could be: A1 A3 A4 Q3 Q7 Whereas if Volkswagen was selected in the first column the options could be: Beetle Golf Jetta Polo Scirocco

In my testing of Airtable for use as a project management tool for my design firm, I have been very disappointed by the Notification options. It appears there are basically three events that trigger notifications: If someone @mentions you in the comments field. If you manually subscribe to notifications for a single record, you’ll receive notifications ONLY if/when someone comments. If a collaborator field is included in a table, you are notified when you are added to a record. I think that’s it. And that’s not nearly enough to be useful. Some basic notification features I would love: A. In addition to subscribing to updates on “comments”, I’d like to be able to manually subscribe/unsubscribe (both at the record and table level) to receive notifications of ANY changes/additions to ANY fields in a selected record (or selected table). When I share an Airtable, I don’t want to put every information visible in the card but also I don’t to show every field in the expanded record. It would be great to have a middle ground where I could sensitive hide fields in the expanded record. Please consider having this possibility as our use case for Airtable is lost without this feature.Thank you

Loving the embed block!But I would love it more if I could customise the URL to be loaded based on a field in my table…My usecase - I’m building custom URLs from data collected in forms. The URLs include complex payload data. Want to be able to load those custom URLs dynamically into the embed block so my users can see the record and the embedded web page simultaneously.Seems that embed only supports static URLs for now? Any plans to allow dynamic population of the embed URL from a field in a base?

I couldn’t find a “product suggestion” post for this feature. It’s been requested in the forums since 2016. Please let us choose additional fields to show in the calendar view.

I think it would be an quick and easy feature to add the ability to download photo attachments from the app and save to camera roll. Yes, there is save to dropbox, but in the interest of doing a download in minimum amt of steps, save to camera roll is fastest. Opening up the photo in safari to save to camera roll is too many steps. Also, I can’t use share to facebook because I am often commenting within a specific thread, so it’s easier for me to attach a photo from my camera roll while I’m replying to the comment.

I’ve created a bar chart with stacked data and I’m looking for a way to add the total to the top of each bar. Seems like this would be a basic function but Airtable Support has informed me that this is not available. Has anybody else run into this issue and found a work-around solution?Thanks!

Please implement import/export formats beyond CSV. Being able to migrate to/from tools like FileMaker and Access is critical. Hell, even XLS export would be an improvement. CSV is of course clean, but it’s OLD, and removes 100% of database functionality upon export. Thus, it is not a valid backup format. We require offline file-based backups. Thank you!

Is there any way to use a Kanban view organized by a formula field? I have a workflow table with 15 checkbox fields for milestones (I tried single select first – it really isn’t intuitive for the users). I created a formula that groups the milestones into 5 “Macro Phase” groups. This works well in the grid view when grouping by Macro Phase, but it would be AWESOME to visualize it with a Kanban view. I would rather not rely on a user having to select the Macro Phase, because that data could conflict with the checkbox data.

Dear Airtable team. Really simple question. Why you don’t have a function that can share view with editing function. Everyone can see and edit everything in a base if have an access (( Even Stackby have sharing view edit possibility, but you don’t. Its very big problem to use another service to do simple function. Hello!I noticed that when I use a form view I don’t have the option to add to a linked table information- this is different from when I have it in the grid view.Why is it like this? This is small suggestion for Airtable design.When the records are sorted by a criteria and when the criteria in the field gets updated (and sorting is applied) the record already starts moving around. I find it’s a bit ennoying when I am still in the record trying to update addional fields.My suggestion is to highlight the record as it is highlighted now (by orange glow, that’s fine), but do not make the record dance around like it is trying to evade me. Let me finish with the record, I may want to edit additional fields in the record.When I take my cursor away from the record (when I click outside of the record), then sort the record.It’s a small cosmetic change and I find it is more than enough when the record glows orange. No need to have it dance around. I am not suffering from dislexia, but I could imagine people who manage to deal with dislexia or similar conditions may feel claustrophobic when the records attempts to run away too quickly.Mayb

I would like to be able to create a calendar view, which shows multiple date columns. It would also be nice to apply colors or categories to various cells or columns. The end goal here is to be able to layer all the different Date field types on a tab from a single view. Use case: I might indicate in a tab when a client joined, when their contract ends, when my last communication with them was, product launch date, etc. I’d like to see all my events from one view or choose which ones to hide.

This one unfortunately doesn’t play nice with Airtable formulas because of the braces { } in fields names.

Video support is really limited at the moment:Attachment fields support videos, but it’s not super useful for managing video content as you have to actually click into the content to see what it is.It would be a huge help if the table views supported video embeds or at the very least static previews of the video, instead of the play icon.

I’d like the option to hide the first row number column on embed views. Whilst its useful for editing a table, I think in most scenarios where you embed a table in a webpage or blog (like the examples you’ve posted in your help pages) you wouldn’t want the row number showing. It’s distracting for the reader and takes up useful space. thanks
