It appears that if I print a Base to PDF, the resulting file has text that is an image, and not selectable text data. Not sure why this is so, as any other Mac app I use to print to PDF, retains the text as data rather than an image. Airtable should fix this. Thank you.

I love the time tracking block. It is incredibly powerful, and made even better by the fact that you can run multiples of them. I spent a lot of time toggling back and forth between airtable dev on the structures and stuff, and data entry and wanted to track each individually so I had 2 that i was pausing and starting/ stopping as needed. It would be amazing if the block allowed you to show/ hide the entry name or title so you know which one you are working on.see attached screenshot and envision that the title of row 2 is at the header of the top tracker, and the title of row 3 is displayed as the header of the bottom tracker, wont let me include an image :frowning:

Hi,We work heavily with multiple vendors and need vendors to update a common test results base. We want to give each vendor read-write access to only tests they are responsible for. Currently this is not possible.Can you please consider adding this to you feature roadmap. BTW Jira allows for this fine-grain permissions OOB.Thanks,Kalindi

It would be really awesome to have some more advanced question types in Airtable. Specifically, I’d love to be able to collect data in the form of an input table.

Feature requests for Forms: Default/hover (help) text in empty fields Compact layout option Multiple page option Section collapse Input table Predefined options in drop-downs etc. These would bring Airtable Forms on par with other providers, without the hassle of using Zapier connections. What does everyone else think? Is there anything else you would like to see? L.

I was testing blocks yesterday and I was very impressed with its flexibility and usefulness (and beauty as well). I really thought that it was an old feature since I am using Airtable for two days only. Unfortunately, I will use them as long as you allow it in free plan. As I don’t have any company it won’t be affordable for me to pay any Pro plan. Congratulations for this feature but, IMHO, the blocks are the main “killer feature”. Without them in free plan I am really convinced I can do most of the tasks and analysis in Google Spreadsheets as I always did. You have to think the differences between Microsoft and Google in terms of what is free and what is charged. I really think you should reconsider the blocks as an only PRO feature. Maybe you should restrict the number of blocks (2 or 3, for instance) for each spreadsheet, but it MUST be in free plan, otherwise you may lose a lot of people, like me, who will keep o

We have been watching Airtable for many many years now but have not bothered testing it any further as have been awaiting the implementation of a search box on every page that allows uses to find results from every record, in every table, in every base. Currently in the app, one can only search for a base by its name instead of the search box including all records from any base.Interestingly, I have a business associate who has also not bothered switching over to Airtable for the same frustration and mentioned they also have another business associate who is in the same boat. This is very understandable as it is such a mandatory feature for any such similar service.Surely it would take the Dev team a matter of moments to code this in and allow users to fully test the service before deciding if they would like to inevitably upgrade.Can any representative from Airtable explain the business decision for this not having been already implemented as it is truly confus

I added a collaborator field to my table so I could assign records to collaborators. But I then backfilled the field, only to discover that each individual record sent out a notification. Is there a way to have the records summarized in a digest, instead of sent individually?

There are a couple of posts that are similar, but not specific to these suggestions–Issue: When I click on the Start Tracking button the list of records comes up for me to choose one. Great. But it cannot be filtered or sorted. With (potentially) hundreds of records to scroll through to find the correct one, the chance of selecting an incorrect record is high, and it is a severe disincentive to use the Time Tracker Block.Solution: Have the Time Tracker Block display the records as they are viewed, not as they are entered in the table. In other words, the record selection list in Time Tracker should display the current view of the primary field.Issue: Rounding of recorded time. The problem with zapier is that it will always zap a record only once (even if it reappears in the same view). Therefore, updating an external record (say a job post) using zapier is currently not possible (without a complicated workaround*) because Airtable does not give you the option to feed zapier a modification time stamp instead of the record ID.Would it be possible to update your zapier integration so that by default zapier sorts the records by the record ID but that you’re able to choose another field to sort by instead (like a modification timestamp)?Many thanks,GaudenzThe workaround I am currently using is that after zapping a record, a new, identical record in Airtable is created (using zapier) and the old one marked for deletion. Thus with a new record ID, I am able to update it - but it’s cumbersome and does not work in all use cases.

Hey ! When come the time to populate a grid it become so hard. Should be interesting to propose interesting things like Data Populator did already (without creating a JSON). Or simply give the possibility to export a base into a JSON format. So we will use Data Populator instead of Airtable.

This plugin works great, but why isn’t there a feature to randomize the content? I’ve created a base with thumbnail images, and using the plugin, the images populate the elements always in the same order. Randomizing seems like a very basic, but very helpful feature.

I created a base to manage a discovery product backlog. This base contains some tables I can divide in 2 categories :Product’s tables (everything needed for story mapping),Strategy tables (Roadmap, Targets, etc.).Of course informations of those 2 categories are related but KPIs are different. I regroup all my KPIs in different dashboard so I can monitor my product in one hand (realization) and my strategy in the other hand (conception).To improve my velocity and productivity it could be so insteresting to have the abity to create blocks tabs like a table. Each blocks tabs containing multiple dashboards. And of course to name my blocks tabs.So in my exemple I would have :1 strategy tab : containing all my dashboards for my roadmap, etc.1 Product tab : containting all my dashboards to prioritize my item, see description and prototype, etc.And may if I’ve got a team one more tab to monitor my processes.

Currently the iOS app only allows uploads from camera or Photos. But it would be helpful to allow the uploads of images from Files as well. I edit photos using Affinity Photo and I would like to skip the extra step of having to upload to the Photos app.

It would be great to have the ability to “pin” a comment(s) out of let’s say 50 to the top of the comment’s section in each record. Asana does this and it’s very helpful by saying time to weed through numerous comments.

I’ve read through another thread commenting on the pricing and features for the different plans. I’d like to specifically suggest another $10/month option that includes blocks instead of extra storage. I can manage quite easily with the amount of storage in the free plan, but could really use the blocks. But $20 a month is just more than I’m willing to spend for personal use. Any response from the company? Thanks!

Hi, I saw this was marked as resolved by changing the browser locale… however I’m using the Airtable app in MacOSX and I regularly switch between three different browsers.I don’t want to set all of my browsers to a different locale, as I’m in the US and want to continue all other US settings… I just believe Europe got it right when they start the week on Monday… as the week actually starts on Monday.Most applications allow users to pick and choose base level localization preferences. I believe Airtable is mature enough to add this level of features.Thanks!

I love the Airtable <> Jotform integration, but would love it more if airtable’s linked fields could connect to jotform fields.

We have multiple editors who help build bases for clients, and it would be extremely useful to have the option to receive notifications (via email, Slack, etc.) whenever someone makes a structural change to a base, e.g. adds/renames/deletes a tab, adds/renames/deletes a field, modifies a single-select field value list, creates or changes a shared view, etc. It would also be very useful in the common scenario where we build a base for a client and they have one user who is an editor; very often, they end up making changes (sometimes intentionally and sometimes not) that impact the structure of the base that we don’t know about. Not being able to keep track of editor-level changes makes keeping the bases stable and well-documented extremely difficult!

I have been working with Airtable for only a short time - with a view to building solutions for clients. One of the things that worries me is how easy it is to delete a record - simply right click and delete and it’s gone. In my view there should at least be an Are you sure message - or the increasingly common requirement to type something like “Delete this record” into a dialog box. It may be that a table option should be provided to allow a choice for the creator.

It would be a huge help if there was an ability to filter records based on whether or not my account is “watching” it. For example, to create a Personal View that only includes records that have me added as a collaborator or that I have chosen to watch.

When entering a date into a field using the popup calendar, it would be really handy to be able to navigate the calendar using the cursor keys. Some other systems I use have this ability, and it makes calendar navigation a breeze. Cursor up or down, and it moves one week earlier or later. Cursor left or right moves forward or backward one day at a time. I frequently find myself shifting dates around in small increments (mainly in my task management base), and it would be so handy to just hit Enter in a date field to bring up the calendar, tap a few cursor keys to change the date, then Enter again to save the change. The less I have to move between the mouse and keyboard, the better. :slightly_smiling_face:

It would make life so much easier if it were possible to drag a row from one table into another. Who else would love to see this feature added?
