I’d like to request an enhancement to Auto Number. At present if a user accidentally creates a row and then “undos” that - the autonumber is not returned. This means that “Ghost rows” end up using a number. The human error is hard to mitigate and it would be better to allow us to choose how ghost rows should be handled.A suggestion would be to add option to say “Ghost rows retain number” with an on/off switch.Like this:

First of all, thanks for creating the Android app and inviting me to the beta. I am really enjoying it. The PDF viewer in the Android app does not seem to be able to zoom in and out on the PDF as it does in the iOS version of the app. I have a base which will be a repository of PDFs for people that will need to view these PDFs on mobile devices (both iOS and Android). As a workaround, I’m sharing the PDFs with Google Drive and using the very good Drive viewer, but it’s an extra step I do not need to go through in the iOS app. A better viewer would be a huge improvement. Hello, A “Global Field” is one that the whole table uses as if it was present in every record. Like when you define a cell with a “Name” in Excel. The benefit is that you change it in one place and it affects every record. Imagine the exchange rate (Dollars-Euros) affecting the price of something… or the weather forecast affecting something else. A workaround: I can create a base with the Global Field and a Formula that equals that field in a different table. The problem is you need to link to the Global Field and then bring the info with a lookup… This may require a separate table for each Global Field which is far from ideal… Thanks.

Right now it looks like you only support a single level version of a pivot table. It would be great if you could support multi level, i.e. rows by assigned collaborator, and by deal stage(basically getting deals per assignee per stage)

I work for a media company (JOE.co.uk) that manages multiple kinds of content through different tables in a single Airtable base. A few examples of the types of content we manage with Airtable (each in a separate table in one base): Live-tweeting football matches Scheduling for longform investigative pieces ‘On this day…’ nostalgia posts I would love to be able to selectively collate items with date fields from multiple tables into one combined calendar that makes it really easy to answer questions like ‘What’s happening today?’ in one single place. Is that possible? If not, is it something you’d consider?

As my tables have grown in records and evolved to continue fitting my needs, I’m finding I have a lot of adjacent fields that all have numbers. As the table gets larger and larger, it’s becoming more difficult to know what each number represents because the column title is often far away from my eye. It would be helpful if hovering on a specific cell would show the field title. This way, no matter where I am in my table, I can know clearly what the data represents.

I would like to have the Add record form in a block, so people can easily add data while viewing the spreadsheet.

I’m imagining being able to access the data in a linked record in a similar way to how you access child properties of objects in many programming languages.ExampleYou have an ORDERS table and a PRODUCTS table. PRODUCTS contains Item Name, Item Code and Price columns. The ORDERS table has a Linked Record field called Products. You could then access the Products properties within a formula field in the ORDERS table like this:Products.{Item Name}Products.{Item Code}Products.Price

Right now Records are Displayed via their primary key. But with some data, it is easier to have a separate primary key that can be hidden or not use as the Record Display name.

I use the calendar view to schedule installations and have noticed that if I want to move one job before another within the same day, I cannot do so unless I use the sort function. It would be ideal if we could take an entry and be able to move it above or below another to organize tasks for the day.

In Excel, I very often use the filter dropdown menu to select which data points I want to show.If anyone here hasn’t used it, you can basically click the filter button at the top of any column and it will give you a dropdown menu pre-filled with every unique data point that currently exists in that column. There is then a checkbox next to each unique data point, and selecting / deselecting it will immediately show or hide records that have that data point in that column. This makes it very easy to quickly filter a column for multiple criteria.This also works for multiple columns at a time - e.g. I can show only records that have (Apple OR Orange in Column A) AND (Skyscraper OR House OR Bus Station in Column B), just by having only those data points ticked in each column’s filter dropdown.So far, this seems a lot more clunky in Airtable for a few reasons:I have to manually type in what I want my filter to be, which is inhe

I want to make a view where I can say: Product Status is In Stock or Product Status is Backordered and Last Sold Date was within the last week However, the filter menu locks to ‘And’ or ‘Or’ dependent on your first selection. Is there any chance you would revise this?

I would like the option to make long text fields scroll in the expanded record view rather than expand to accept additional text.Long text fields scroll when expanded from table view. However, when the individual record is expanded that same long text field expands rather than scrolls to accommodate additional text (pic below). This behavior makes the expanded record longer which in turn requires more scrolling to see the rest of the fields in the record.

It would be great to be able to toggle privacy and visibility settings for just about any element, such as: blocks, dashboards, views, tables, forms, etc.

Right now the revision history features both the record specific chat and updates. Request a feature to toggle on/off the updates to only see the discussions from collaborators. Kind regards Sindre

I think it would be great if in single records, you could manually override a Lookup field’s data. It would still take the field type of the parent it’s looking up (dates would still be dates, etc) but you could make simple exceptions to blanket lookup categories. As an example: I work for an organization that teaches classes in jails. Jails segregate the people incarcerated by gender. I have a tab for classes with columns for (among other things) class location, graduation date, and gender, I also have tab for students with columns for (among a lot of other things) which class they’re in, and what their gender is. I’d like the gender column in the students tab to be a Lookup field that uses the gender for the class by default. But I would also like to be able to override that to account for times when the self-identified gender of the student doesn’t match what gender jail they’re incarcerated in (they don’t have jails for nonbinary folks). Please support line break ("\n") in kanban function fields. Line breaks work in long text fields, so why not in function fields? Concatentation and line breaks are the best way to create usable, condensed kanban cards. It’s a shame that functions are not supported.-Donald

It’d be great if the field names that are too long expanded onto a second/third line instead of using an ‘…’

Each time I use my iPad in the Airtable environment, it swaps on the US keyboard (either using Airtable through Safari or through the app). It’s very difficult to type on a qwerty keyboard when used to azerty. Any clue or is it a bug ?Regards,Bernard

Continuing the discussion from Base level revision history:I know I can see the history of each record on the right side of the expanded view, but I’d like to be able to view the entire history of the base. I would also like to view the entire history for a particular user. Are either of these things currently possible? I’m hoping I’m just missing them…Splitting this discussion off from the discussion of revision history for entire bases, as it’s a slightly different feature request!

I LOVE the table function for Linked Records in Page Designer. However, to allow for a cleaner table, it would be great if we could choose to display linked records within a table as plain text, instead of the blue rectangle. I’m working around this by adding a formula field that displays the value of each linked record I want in the table, and pulling those fields instead of the linked record field in Page Designer. It’s kind of a pain and drives me crazy to have doubles of each field, but it works for now.
