I have to decide between setting the field to be barcode field the scan barcodes) or setting it as a linked field to another table.
I wish I can set it BOTH barcode and linked. If the record is not in the other linked table, it would be helpful if I was able to scan the barcode and add it there rather than type it in.
There is the the linked record picker for example that could be a perfect candidate for scanning.
I have a work around where I scan the barcode and then manually copy that barcode field to a staging field that is then used to link to another table.
Anyhow, why not allowing scanning barcodes in almost any field in AirTable
