What is the proposed idea/solution?

Add a customization to Date Columns that allows users to choose what part of the date they want displayed. For instance, having "April" or just "2022" could benefit the Pivot Table app.  ...

Who is the target audience?

...Users that want to analyze their data with a pivot table. 

Date format options for Date and Time column are needed, they would become very useful.  

As a workaround, I stamp my Date String “January 2023” into a Text column and link it as a Linked Record to an associated Dates table - via Automation script.
