The SendGrid Block is almost a dream come true. It’s so helpful to send transactional emails from within Airtable, using field variables to personalize each message. But sometimes we send long and detailed variable emails that need bold and italic formatting to be effective.

It would be great to see basic markdown options in the SendGrid Block. Please.

Hi Arlo,

The SendGrid block now supports HTML! Just check the “Send as HTML” toggle when drafting your message.

Hey @Jason this is awesome. Thanks for letting me know! I just tested it out and this is a huge improvement for us.

One shortcoming: HTML formatting used in a long text field does not get converted in the email. Might that be in the works as well?

That isn’t something specifically in the works at this time, but we are considering rich text formatting (in a field) as a feature for release sometime in the future.

We also have generated HTML in a field, so it would be great if HTML is not escaped, when being used as a variable within the sendgrid body text. We would really appreciate this feature. Any plans on this?
