It takes up room and looks bad!

+1 So many times we have empty stacks that just need to be hidden. Please.

+1 Need the ability to hide Uncategorized completely. To have a default column appear when there are no uncategorized records is simply unnacceptable. Please AT deal with this issue in the Kanban view. Thanks

+1 The people have spoken, and we want to hide stacks! This is a huge issue and it’s making people turn to Trello.

Meep Meep! :raising_hand_woman: Adding another +1 for the option to hide categories in a shared view, or at least hide the

default Uncategorized section when it contains no entries. Thanks!

Adding another +1 for this. This is one of the main reasons I am considering other solutions like Coda. It’s pretty surprising that this has been an issue going on four years now…

+1 Hide Categories! For Now! Please!

Here here - why hasn’t this been actioned?

I’d like to throw in my request for this functionality as well. I’m not like, angry, about it or anything. But I have 0 desire to see that “Uncategorized” column (and would prefer to make it impossible not to have a category, supplying a default instead).

Please do something about it!

The lack of movement on this feature request is very frustrating. Airtable is clearly devoting a lot of dev time to glitzy features with marginal value (outside of marketing) but basic yet extremely functional requests languish for YEARS.

Good Lord, let us show, hide and reorder columns like Trello has been able to do…forever.

Damn 😦 read this whole thing to see that there is no update on this…

I hope you can still have option to hide/show stacks. Collapsible stacks were not a good enough to use properly the can.

we request an option to select/unselect which stack would show but collapsible stacks is still an option.

I think it is cleaner way to use it.

Yes, please add the function to “hide” stacks with a filter. Even the collapsed stacks take up valuable screen real estate!

+1000

Adding my support to the previous answer asking to be able to hide stack in the kanban view

Bumping as well

Collapsing is good, but being able to hide altogether as well would be much better.

Given that in filters we can add “Is None Of” and pick multiple, it should be possible to add a “To Show” or similar and allow us to tick/untick the value/stacks we want to be able to see

Shouting in to the void here to say, yes, please, I would also very much like this.

+1 for hiding Kanban columns… especially collaborator/user column!

Incredible - I thought that this issue would have been fixed a long time ago.

Come on AirTable - you’re obviously aware of the UX issue because it’s possible to collapse the “Uncategorized” stack in the desktop version.

Kanban view:

It’s super annoying as it takes up so much valuable space (the default viewing column) on mobile screens.

At least you could make it the RIGHTmost column insteead of the leftmost one.

I’m afraid I will probably have to choose some other tech for our purpose. I simply can’t present this to my users and expect the to swipe away from the empty “Uncategorized” stack every time before they can see the content.

Same issue, the use of space is so bad compared to trello, I can’t believe it is still not fixed I have been watching this thread for years

Let’s keep this train rolling! Auto-hide filtered stacks!

@Ayesha_Bose - The Kanban dev team at Airtable should take note of this (and the many others) thread.

I myself simply don’t use Kanban view due to the inability to work with both Linked Fields (and as others have said, they even have needs for Kanban view to work on Formula fields, view only) - and when I have attempted to use them, their layout is full of white space, unwanted data, inability to manage columns, and with a poor use of colouring.

We expect to be heard, and it would be courteous to hear some kind of response from someone at Airtable, even after all these years - especially considering the current Kanban Interfaces development - anyone in this thread should absolutely feel like they’re being ignored. 😦

HIDE STACKS!

Came here to say this.

Please allow us to hide stacks!

Alternatively, add Kanban with more flexibility to the Interface Designer.

Thanks for sharing this information. In my Storyline Generator say that :

Hide ‘Uncategorised’ column in Kanban view if no uncategorised records, Make a Kanban view for each list, and hide the column if there is no question in the list

I definitely need to either hide or re-name the uncategorised stack.
