I’d like to be able to automatically format all email field type data lowercase. This would allow me to more easily use email addresses in third party software programs - some of which recognize camelcase and some of which do not.

Links are messy so the ‘Open URL’ function for the new Button Field is great. Unfortunately it only supports one link at a time. So when I have a lookup or rollup pulling links from another table, we’re back to fishing through messy links instead of getting to use a button.Ideally multiple buttons would appear - in the same way that multiple linked records can existing within one field.Note the top ‘Open URL’ button is disabled:

We need the ability to duplicate a record on our mobile apps so we can quickly add, then edit, a brand new record that’s strongly similar to the first, saving us excessive duplicative entry work in records with many fields.

Recently I started my project to pull all my notes together from various areas of life.Since it is a bunch of text I used a lot of text formatting.When pulling the data together I loose all that so it would be a great feature to add the option to keep the rich text formatting when using formulas and rollups.

In viewing the database, it will be extremely useful if I can open the database, and flick the screen left and right to flip to the next card, or one before that. This will really help viewing through the database very quickly. Currently, I have to click to view the data, then go back to the list, find another one and click to open it. Much more steps involved.

This is not an issue of sort, but not completely expected, so I just wanted to mention here in case something that Airtable cares ponder on further. When lookup up source record (from within the linked table) - the window shows visible fields as defined by the 1st (top most) view defined in the source (main) table. Let’s say I have 2 tables, table A is linked to table B. In table A (my main table) I have 2 views created, the 1st view has 200 hidden fields and the 2nd view has 100 hidden fields. The record in Table A is linked to Table B via a field. I go in table A and open that 2nd view in Table A (with 100 hidden fields) and then jump to my linked table B where I open the linked record - I get window that looks like this: The number of hidden fields is determined by the 1st (top most) view defined in the source (main table A) and that is regardless of what view I have currently open in my table A. Every now and then I need to share my iOS device for a short period of time. It would be very much needed to have easy and quick PIN protection for additional protection for the app data. To make full logoff and logon every time for that situation is not very convenient.Would it be possible to introduce optional PIN protection for the iOS app?

I don’t want to rollup and I don’t want to use string lengths to count array elements. Just give me a real count() function. Bonus points for allowing me to cast a string into an array.

It would be SO useful if there was a way to archive some of the optionsContext/Example: We run a lot of events, and have each event listed as it’s own option in a multi-select field. Since most of our events are now in the past, we have a hundred+ options to scroll through to find the current ones. We cannot delete the old ones because we need to reference past classes on occasion. We use color coding and try to drag and drop reorder by date, but that doesn’t reduce the clutter. And filtering is of no use here because we are not wanting to see all of the options in the drop down.

I’m really underwhelmed by the lack of pivot table functionality, which are basic features in google sheets and excel: Sorting (Can only sort by field used for rows, why not sort by other fields not shown?) Also mentioned here: Sort Pivot table by Column values Exporting Formatting Mark-up I’m sure there’s other stuff missing that I’m not running into yet.

Only list view on Android is not near enough for what we need! Please add the different views on Android!

Has there been much discussion on the topic of closer View type feature parity on iOS? In specific not having the other view types like gallery or calendar is a frequent pain point for me, which deters me from using AirTable in some situations.

Hi there,We use airtable pro company wide with our 20 staff members. I’d really like to add them all as workspace collaborators to our main workspace so I can use the collaborator fields and send them emails etc when needed, but we have a few bases in the workspace with sensitive content that we cant share with the whole team, but we still need pro features on these bases. Therefore what would be AMAZING would be if airtable allowed workspace owners to password protect certain bases from other workspace users. This would improve my experience no end, at the moment I have to share 20 odd bases with each staff member individually as base collaborators and manually add / remove staff members for each base as people join/leave, plus the collaborator function doesn’t work so I have to also build staff members and email address as a separate tab in every base, which is clunky.Pretty please add this function if possible which would make the management of users in a workspace

Can you please make copying an image from one field to another one easier. Right now I have to download that image from one field and upload again to another one.(I only need to do it for selected image (among several in the field) and I only do this sometimes (when I attached on mobile device to wrong field)The quick and dirty work-around is in the browser interface to right click on the image and get the URL (non-shareable) and then use the URL-upload window in the other field to upload the image.The work-around works OK but the issue is, the URL I get from the previous step is a link to a reduced size version of the image. The link doesn’t give me the full resolution image.I understand sometimes people like to be able copy the link to the reduced size image but most of the time when I copy the link this way I do it to move images between fields. If I want to share the image, then I’ll get shareable link of the image or I just send link to the record to

i think the absolute most useful automation for my use case would be something that fires ONE time when a batch of records are added to a view rather than say for example one email per record added id like one email that says your table has rolled over to the new month or whatever. but have many records in the table. right now im using one view share link per person and changing a status in my people table (separate from the content) to ‘notify’ and triggering with a formula to send an email with the view share link in it but all of the data involved in that is 4-5 unnecessary fields in my people base. and this breaks down when i need to send the same stuff to an entire location i then have 4-5 extra fields in the locations table. i also dont like including those urls in every email as some people internally are afraid to click on links in emails and for some entities they wont even get through the endpoint.maybe even one email with a list of the records that were added

ProblemUsers don’t get useful results when they group by multi-selects, array based, or comma separated values. In the example below, three recipes that include “Apples” end up in different groups. Whereas a new user might have wished all of the records were listed under “Apples” and then re-listed under other fruits as well.Solution AttemptHonestly, there might not be a good solution without breaking core Airtable functionality and database best practices. In other words, by introducing (gasp) duplicate records as described above. I’m imagining a toggle under the grouping menu where a setting section named something like “split lists & display duplicate records” could display extra records (with an option to set a deliminator). Might also be nice to have a visual indication within the grid when a record is a duplicate.

When an array of attachment fields are selected, it would be awesome to have an option in the left-click menu that would allow you to download all files in all selected fields as a .zip folder!(This would be the same menu that currently allows you to send or delete all selected records.)

Perhaps other views are more touch-friendly, but grid-view is almost impossible to work with on my 15" laptop touch screen. It’s not even a matter of size. I can enlarge the screen so that cells are larger than my finger, but that doesn’t help. The scrollbars pretty much don’t work at all when dragging them on screen, and I can’t swipe through to unseen areas of the grid. Basically, it’s just not built for using with touchscreen, but it should be. Don’t think just in terms of mobile or small tablets. Recognize the need to use this on large touch screens as well. It should just work.

Right now when I click to fill in a linked record field, the default UI is to let me ‘Find an existing record’ with a button at the bottom to ‘Add new record.’There are certain linked record fields where I always want to add a new record. I wish there was a setting for the field that would change the interface so that adding a new record is the default action so I don’t have to do the extra step of clicking the add new record button every time.An example is a table where I enter timesheet data. When I make a payment, I want to enter a new payment record and link it to the appropriate timesheet. It’s most convenient to enter the new payment directly from the timesheet table rather than going to the payments table, creating the payment, going back to the timesheet and linking to the existing payment that I just made.Since I never want to link to an existing record, it would be nice if I could set my Payments field to add new records as the default.

Is it possible to import fonts natively or through a workaround for the page designer block? Looks like it’s just google fonts? Thanks for any insight.

Is there an easy way to see which records have comments in a Gallery view? I see in Grid views, the comment icon appears to the left of the Record Name… but can’t find any equivalent in Gallery view. We’re using a table to track image assets and are primarily using Gallery views to look at our records.

Apologies in advance, if this has already been recommended or if this feature already exists, and I just missed it.Currently, when editing the permissions on a specific field, the two exceptions for editing a field are for allowing fields to be set through forms and allowing fields to be modified by automations as shown below.I think it would be beneficial to have a 3rd slider in here for the option to allow fields to be modified by the scripting app as well.Considering that the slider for automations already exists and scripts can be made within an automation, I feel like this would make sense.As a personal example of how this could be beneficial, I have a field in one of my bases that is a list of keywords for a record, used to reference, and search on a record. I have about 30 automations and in my base and every time I copy the base, all Automations are disabled. I kind of get it why it is, I guess precautionary measure to prevent triggering automations again when they shouldn’t run (e.g. sending emails again, posting into facebook etc.). That’s fine. I get it.In my base, my Automations are only within Airtable and don’t interact with 3rd party services. I rely on Automations to fill some fields in my table.Recently I copied my base and I forgot to turn on the Automations. The issue now I am facing is all the data I filled into the table is incomplete, my formulas didn’t run and basically the data is useless. I will need to spend hour or more to fill in manually the stuff that would have done with Automations (many of them start on new record creation etc)So while I understand why Automations shouldn’t be enabled by default, I wish I was able to turn them on easily (not go one by one to turn on each Automation… I got

This function was key! For how I use my base and linked records, it always showed my last linked task at the top, basically giving me a running history, with the most recent (and most relevant) available at the top of the list, which also meant that the most recent “task” link is visible to me in the basic grid view for quick reference, without having to click on anything. Now if I don’t manually remember to change it, I see an older, no longer relevant task for that record. Just give us back the choice, please. This was brilliant on my older base, and now kind of just sucks. Airtable’s beauty is in how slick and quick it works, and this just brought it down a bit.
