What is the proposed idea/solution?

The "Editable" and "View only" button on Interface is very handy when limiting actions on an Interface; however, it would be much more convenient and better security/workflow-wise to limit specific fields/columns (especially on List and Grid) as "View only" or "Editable" directly rather than having all fields editable because it can be accidentally edited.

How does this solve the user problems?

Lesser human error when accidentally editing stuff on incorrect fields.

Who is the target audience?

Interface users.

I was looking for the same functionality. Could be a checkmark in the limit linked record selection pop-out. As a workaround I was wondering if there was a way to use the filters so that only the current selection shows. If I figure this out will post the solution . . but not seing how to attack this right now.

I am also looking for this functionality, have a checkbox that I want to be editable, but nothing else in the row. I recall this being possible previously.

Same !!! Want to be able to limit edition to certain fields, in my Interface.

But, I found an alternative way to do it 😉

In your Interface table, for example, switch on "Click into record details".

Then, in the record details that can be now opened, you can set up manually which fields you want to be editable, or not.

That works but the point was to be able to edit records inline not through the form.
